The beauty of wild animals is again the theme of extraordinary paintings, photographs and other media by regional artists in Wildlife Art 2008 at The ARTISTS GALLERY. Whether of a tiny backyard bird or a giant elephant roaming the plains of Africa, artists try to capture the wild spirit that fascinates us every time we encounter it.

The exhibition and sale, Wildlife Art 2008, will open with a gala reception that is free and open to the public, from 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2008. Many participating artists will be present and free refreshments will be served. Free parking is available for visitors. The exhibition will be available through November 4th, 2008.

The Artists Gallery, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a working marketplace for visual artists, offering visitors the opportunity to experience artists creating, displaying and selling their original works of art. In addition to new works on display, the gallery sponsors group shows and individual exhibitions by members and invited guest artists.

The Artists Gallery, in existence since 1988, is managed by the cooperative efforts of the exhibiting artists.
